Cambridge Chronicle and Journal 09 March 1832 - An inquest was held last week at the King's Bench prison on the body of Mr Abner Rangeley, a prisoner, who came by his death in consequence of wrestling with another prisoner of the name of Husted. The wrestling was without enmity, though in some measure forced upon Husted by the deceased, whodied after lingering a fortnight, of a rupture of the bladder produced by Husted's falling upon him. The jury returned a verdict of Homicide per infortunium.

Luke was married to Sarah Robinson. All their children were born in England. Luke was a cotton spinner according to the Record Book of the church of England in Glossop. Son James played the harp and all the children and their father sang in the church choir. Their children in order of age were Betty,Thomas, Ann, Sarah, Joseph, John, James, and Robert. Luke's wife, Sarah, the mother of the above children, died in England and was buried there. Luke then married Jane Brooks August 24, 1857 before leaving for America. Luke Hague died April 13, 1887, aged 78 years, 10 months, 18 days. Jane died October 14,1874, aged 67 years.
