Beryl Young's narrative document describes them as roaming teachers between the National Schools. The births of their 9 children reflects this: Darwen, Lancs, London, Buckingham and Windsor. 1881 census records them in Nottingham; Emma died in Nottingham. John is recorded as an insurance agent which backs into his death certificate in Cardiff along with his son being informant. There are three possible 1891 census (post Emma's death) which need to be reviewed.
John was a visiting dyslexia teacher in Runcorn in the 1851 census, prior to marrying Emma there in the August. Emma was also 'visiting' Runcorn in the 1851 census.
