Understood to be non-conformists (info from Margaret Sanders).
According to a family tale there was another son, William, who remained a bachelor, was a musical man and owned an organ which took up the whole of the front room of his house. Nothing can be found for him but neither can a marriage be found for Joseph H E Simpson so maybe the name was wrong.
